sent to me from heaven, manchester city you are my
all 4 ends of the ground bouncing in a way Galatasary would be proud of.
songs that are making national sports news in other countries.
35 years without a trophy and still getting 40k+ week in week out for years.

Ok today wasn't the greatest, but having been to every game for the past 3 years and visiting every ground i can only really think of Stoke that have been particularly impressive noise wise. The UEFA cup runs have really made us up the game imo & it's great to see. The FA cup final should be something special atmosphere wise.

The light blue masses were in place in the stadium's western half long before their red counterparts had taken their seats, and with that bizarre backs‑to‑the‑pitch dance, borrowed from Lech Poznan, and the dozens of flags, beach balls and inflatable bananas, the City end looked and sounded like a giant street party.

United's support merely stood there

Liverpool have pretty decent support, bar them being delusional.

Yep :o) Here's a pic from the Daily Fail of the Poznan after we scored

Every club will say they have the best fans.
From experience, I tend to find the lower league clubs have the best fans.
Also, Galatasaray and the like do that sort of thing from the 1st minute to the 90th, with flares, mentalness and all sorts to boot, (en mass too).

As a whole at the CoMS I don't rate our fans at all. Average at best! But I do think we're getting better.

I've been in the South Stand and East Corner on the odd games over the years and it sounds fairly loud when you're in them. However when I'm in my seasoncard seat in 105 the vocal areas sound a hell of a lot less impressive, they are just so small! And then there's only the odd fans dotted about here and there around the rest of the ground who sing or make any noise.

Remove yourself from the centre of the noise and it's a quiet stadium very often. We're by no means the worst but we are not the best!

-- Sun May 01, 2011 6:33 pm --

Away from home we actually pretty decent. But a lot of away followings are very loud. The loudest I've seen at CoMS were Sheff United when they were in the Prem or Sheff Weds that time in the FA Cup. The best for variety of songs are Liverpool or United - we're getting much better with this. Other good away support are Villa and Sunderland. The worst fans are Arsenal and Spurs - they have about three songs!
