Are International Breaks Worse Than the Close Season ?

I understand UEFA qualifiers, we don’t really get a choice on that… but why the fuck are England and Scotland playing a pointless friendly?

International football is boring and shit. There’s also a risk of injuries, I hate seeing our players getting selected for these games, even more so if it’s a pointless friendly. To be honest no-one seems to care, better off just having the World Cup and binning off all other international games apart from a few minnow nations qualifying for it between themselves.

Luckily it’s the Rugby World Cup starting tomorrow so there’s still plenty to watch while City aren’t in action.

International breaks are worse as we spend our time worrying about City players being injured or burned out.
Think back to that clown Martinez continually over-playing Vincent when he needed a rest.

It's an anniversary game celebrating the 125 anniversary of the SFA I think?

To be honest I'm looking forward to it as the jocks might surprise them.

@mods

Whoosh.

This thread has nothing what so ever to do with international breaks or the close season.

The first international break of the season - three weeks after the long-awaited league season gets going - feels like coitus interruptus - or “getting off at Edge Hill”, as they say in Liverpool.

Hate them
Just as the season gets underway, we have to stop for shite qualifiers and friendlies
Having said that, Rags have certainly made this the best break I can remember

Wow this threads brief appearance on the general football forum has sparked interest in MSJ.
Ok not that much but I’ve received some PM questions that deserve answers.

1. Do they have half time or lunch in MSJ ?
Due to the nature of the sport there is plenty of time to take a break and take your antihistamines, anti depressants or sildenafil
Other popular intakes include Oxtail soup (home made not the tinned shit) and Werthers Originals.

2. Do competitors wear a kit ?
No although it is common to see various tartan quilts from various clans.

3. Has anyone died playing MSJ?
Not directly however Levi Thrombosis III from Columbus, Ohio died from old age whilst playing.
Unfortunately nobody noticed at the time and he continued in the round robin event for a further three hours whilst dead.
