Are we 3rd best?

How are we 3rd best?
We've just strengthened our team in a way we haven't done for a few seasons, absolute quality additions coming into the squad. United have lost the person who has managed them from the youth academy up for the last 25 years, and that is going to have an effect. Chelsea are yet to make any signings of note, especially up front, and of course have a manager who is doing what they all say never to do - go back.
We are most definitely not 3rd best.

Have to agree & as far as the incoming transfers go i think we've jumped the gun.
My only concern is that these new signings have to gel quickly, it's vital that we start the season well.Looking at the fixtures I would want to be 7 points clear by the end of December. Second half of the season looks a lot tougher.

If you look at an oddschecker table you find that the majority of bookies have all 3 of us at identical odds - usually 9/4. One or two of them lean towards Chelsea and away from United leaving us 'officially' 2nd and United 3rd. If you want to back City the longest odds are SkyBet's 12/5. That Arsenal's odds are an appealing 11-1 generally shows how much this is regarded as a 3-horse race.

For me Chelsea then us and the rags fighting for close second. If Chelsea get a world class striker like Drogba of old then they are gonna run away with it. Pelli in his first season here will need time to iron out a lot of things so we will start slow most likely

But more importantly, I see us doing a lot better in the champions league. Maybe quarterfinals or better.

I would argue utd have weakened considerably. Not in terms of playing staff, but in terms of management - Moyes cant hold a candle to that sozzled old pisscan and I think it will show.

I think we were the best team at the start of last season, then the season started. The only area we needed to strengthen was in the management and we have done that in huge proportions. Then add to that the players we have signed in key areas I see us as being in the best position with Chelsea close second. There is no way Moyes can do what Fergie did with the same squad in my opinion....

His quite welcome what?
You have your grammar/punctuation head on today, don't you?
It's just not fucking difficult to work out what is a contraction (they are = they're, you are = you're). And people wonder why the country is down the pan.

I get people sending me CV's all the time with these mistakes on them and instantly bin them. Everyone is allowed a typo, spelling the odd word wrong is totally understandable but there is no excuse on "their, they're and there" nor with "your and you're".

so we beat Chelsea convincingly last year, should have won against the rags at home as we battered them, beat them at the shithouse, have sold our loose cannon players and brought in top quality TEAM players?? no I think we`re gonna be ok!!!

What?

With the signings of Jovetic and Negredo I think we have reclaimed top spot as strongest squad in the league, which is why we should expect to win it. However, Chelsea also have an excellent squad, and with Mourinho, I still expect them to win the title. 2nd last season was disappointing, even though we'd been outspent both by Chelsea and the rags last season. Considering our current spend, and the spend of Chelsea and the rags (of course this could change), I would regard 3rd this season as an utter dismal failure.

We are actually not outright favs with one single bookies, thought we would of been tbh
Must admit just backing City and the Chavs for a 60% return on your money doesn't look bad.
Very tempting.

imo, the title will go to the team that does best in the head-to-head games, rags will definitely miss purplenose in this respect, chelski will be harder to beat under mou, and i have no idea how MP will perform, although am very optimistic. As always the strength and depth of the squad will be crucial in the run-in, as will how far we go in other comps. Arse spuds dippers will scrap for fourth, unless the wheels come off at the swamp, which imo is entirely possible.
We have the players, and that's a certainty

Could be the best title race ever this season between City, United and Chelsea imo. No team stands out as title favourites, but our chances hinge too heavily on the fitness of Aguero and Kompany for my liking. If Arsenal sign Suarez, I could see them being a threat also. If Spurs sell Bale and Liverpool sell Suarez, they'll be even further away than last season.
