Are we about to change tactics?

I was one of Bobs strongest critics last season regarding being too pragmatic and playing for draws. But I think we all saw in the last half dozen or so games of last season that we went on the front foot a lot more and looked a lot more comfortable in possession. Does anyone think that this season we're going to put a lot more teams to the sword?

is natural to change tactics when the team gels. players, they don't see the pass sometimes because they don't know each other yet. when they know each other they see the pass. still, the manager has to adjust tactics. the important thing is to have good players, and we have good players.

Yes we have to change. I am not in the Mancini out brigade and never was because he still needs time, the squad needs time to gel, building in 4-5 new starter players is very hard and that what we had to do 2 years ago and last summer too.
This summer I hope we only have to add Agüero and an att. mf. to the starting team, and Clichy will only rotate with Kolarov. So it's 2.5 regular player.
Hopefully the att. mf. has PL experience (Nasri) so it should be easier/faster to fit in.
(Same goes for Clichy)

But Mancini sometimes is way too defensive. He has to take more risk, we have to press more, and most importantly we have to be FASTER.

That's the key, the speed of our build up play. The faster we are, the more pressure we put on the opponent's defense.

Some other things:

I want to see if we are 1-0 up we are going forward with the same effort, pace just like it would be at 0-0.

Also there was a lot of problem when we was behind. We never could turn the game. Maybe we came back only twice. This has to change too.

We dont really score late goals. After 80. minutes we cant score. This is the 10 minutes where close matches are decided. The rags got hell of a lot points in this part of their matches. (Sometime from behind...)

In the really big matches we have to make a stand. I don't want to see that we go to the Emirates to defend with 10 men. Stoke could do the same with their squad. With our squad we have to take the risk.

This year the fullbacks has to add the much needed width and support. Assists, good crosses and so on...
Last year we struggled with it a lot.

So it is not just tactics but mentality also. Changing these thing are not easy at all, but with takin more risks we could get better results in the end and could be more joy to watch.
