Trying to find confirmation of this and struggling. The media report it in different ways with some saying we are, some saying we waived a loan fee and that was given to the player etc. etc.

Anyone have the definitive version?

Cheers

Whatever it may be, it's better than paying all of it whilst he trains with the EDS or academy.

Shouldn't be long till Twitchy Benttwat pops up to brag about how he's 'mugged' us off........regardless of the truth of the matter.

One of the stories I read before the loan happened said that because of Spurs wage structure we were technically paying part of his wages. However, the loan fee covered the rest. But I read a lot of stories during the transfer window and like a lot of them, it could have been complete BS. So take it with a grain of salt.

Loads of stories about the wages but I think that spuds are paying 50% of the wages and the fee that they gave us will more or less cover our 50% of the wages

NO, we dont pay wages to Adebayor. Spurs payed a loan fee, that will cover our share of his wages. This so Spurs didnt need to break their wage structure.

The club don't release these details - what difference does it make anyway. He's got what he wanted - a move to a smaller, less successful club with a squad of mainly mediocre players where he'll be guaranteed more regular football.

Congratulations Ade - looks like you made a dream move there me old china.

Less successful? Really? I wouldn't argue for a second that you probably will become more successful in the near future, but can you explain why you are so sure of it now?

Think Spuds paid in the region of £2.5mill for the loan.
