I'm the sort of lets win kind of fan. Sometimes we have to win ugly, unfortunately we are nothing like the Mourinho's Chelsea team cos you always fancy us to concede at some point.

Joint 4th in the league in February with 2 games in hand. When the fuck was the last we were in that position? Just frustrating though cos if we of beaten Fulham Burnley and Hull at home then we'd be in a miles better position!!

Sorry to be a pedant but we only got one game in hand now. I like winning and don't care how, I was, for long periods, bored last night but came out feeling good with three in the bin. Earlier post bang on win ugly but consistant and flair will come as the confidence leaks in.

Sorry mate we don't, after tonight we have 2 games in hand. Stoke away and Everton at home

Personally i dont really care how we win, as long as we look solid and WIN...Too many people on this site moaning if we lose and then moaning if the football was boring even if we win!

If we play shit all the time and win the champions league and Prem i wont be bothered one bit! look at Mourinho's teams, they have the Winning mentality and dont exactly play exciting football, al la Chelsea under Mourinho!

Personally i dont really care how we win, as long as we look solid and WIN...Too many people on this site moaning if we lose and then moaning if the football was boring even if we win!

Football is an entertainment (or should be) , don`t mind "winning ugly" now and again but I go to games to be entertained , if I wanted to be bored shitless for 90 mins every week I`d watch the Corrie omnibus !

Let me ask you this mate,

Would you prefer we won the league playing like we are?

Or

Would you prefer to finish 4th playing Arsenal type football?

A redundant question mate , coz playing "like we are" , we would have no chance of winning the league . I just like to see entertaining football now and again , is that a crime ? I understand we can`t play like Barca every week and the ability to play poorly and win is the sign of a good team , but surely you wouldn`t be happy watching BORING football week in week out when as much as results like last night , it also produces defeats against the likes of Hull ?

Not quite a redundant question imo mate. I understand you want entertaining football like the rest of us but i would take a win over playing great football and losing or drawing. At the ned of the day, its the draws that have left us in this position, admittedly the defeat to Everton and Hull don't help but Mancio has us going in the right direction with efficient football. A win is a win and as long as we win im happy.

Win win win for me. We were in no real danger of conceeding a goal last night. Ok ,it was ugly but a win is a win.

If we can keep this up and win ugly and get the points to break champs league places you can bet your arse that there will be much nicer football next season.

I agree with kevreeves but your question is a silly one as it asumes that entertaining teams can't win the league and only boring ones can. The rags don't particularly play boring football. I think everyone would, with varying degrees of reluctance, accept that we might need to worry about playing the system and winning a bit more at the moment but longer term, I can't see, over a longer term, City fans accepting mind-numbing football just to win something.

Exciting football is part of our culture.
