anyone remember the world cup in spain? the brazil side played some of the most attractive football in the history of the game, remember socrates? well, did they win it, did they chuff, a well drilled italian side knocked them out in the semis. now as we seem to be moving towards italian stlye footy.........................

You are right they did not win - but when anyone ask which was the best I have ever seen that Brazil team was the one.

At the moment wins mean everything - but if we played like Bolton etc for years I would soon get hacked off. At least like to think we are trying to win games positively instead of trying not to lose them. Thats why they brought in 3 points for a win you know.

For thirty minutes against the rags at home we were quite scintillating, which shows that we will get there.
At the moment I'm quite happy with a steady, efficient 2-0 home win, especially after all those stupid draws from winning positions.

there seems to be a mis conception that exciting teams dont win trophies, i must have imagined the unbeaten team of arsenal, who were electric.

and although we hate to admit it, united play with width and flair and its never done them any harm.

give me entertainment any day of the week.

just out of interest is it possible we are winning these games in spite of the tactics, and just down to the fact we have superior players than the boltons of this world.

for example if we lined up the 2 squads/teams from last night, and said to own coyle you pick your team first, out of interest how many bolton players would actually be in the 1st 11, i would hazard a guess at a big fat zero.

a wins a win as they say, but by christ its painful.
