Are You Doing Anything To Protest About The Latest Season Ticket Price Increase?

Says who?? We never thought we’d be the best team in England 10 years ago.

So, I beg to differ

Correction, City are 5th, not 4th.

No wonder you can't afford the price rise if you're buying random fucking blokes from the internet a pint at £5 a pop. Cut this out of your life and you'll be able to buy 2 season tickets next year

;-)

Oakie is worth a pint.

Just to put a face to his BM persona.

A question. A lot of people on here are on the Value Seasoncard or the cheaper tickets at the back of SS3. If the club were to end those, and make the minimum price £530, in line with other tickets in the ground, how many would pay and how many would give up?
I moved to the cheap seats because I was getting close to my £35 per game limit. My old seat is now up to £33.42 per game, instead of the £16.32 I currently pay. So yes I would pay £530.

I expected an increase and I anticipate there will be another next year and the year after; it's called inflation.

So long as the club does not do anything silly with the price increases for my seat, I'm not going to complain.

I do believe the club should increase ground capacity again and make those seats relatively cheap ones.

Going to matches certainly isn't cheap anymore but at least we currently get a premium product for our money.

Matchday income 11%. £52mill.

Guessing. With next season's increases across all matchday revenue streams, matchday income could hit £55mill?

PB will have a much better idea.

2016/17 season PL prize money.

Manchester City: £150mill.

Estimated 2017/18 season PL prize money.

Manchester City: £156mill.

Inflation is 3% , but wage rise haven't matched it in the last couple of years.

Many local working class fans will have been on a pay freeze or 1% rise per year in the times of austerity

City could reflect on that fact and increase in line with local wage rises in my opinion.

Honestly if we didn't have the direct debit option I would struggle to buy my ticket in one go, I might drop the cup schemes but probably won't.

If the hike.if for opperational costs, then I wpuld rather it went on solving the queies and showsec wanding nonsense with investment in a better idea

The full effect of what some fans consider to be unnecesary price hikes, bearing in mind huge increases in income from other areas, may be seen when Pep leaves and if success does too.
Will the club be afforded the same loyalty by the fans as it has benefitted from in the past, considering how much more financially that loyalty might cost ?

But ticket revenue is a minor source of our overall income stream, as well you know. Just over 13% in the 2017 FY. Winning the league this season over finishing third will bring in about £5m extra revenue from the PL alone and will also increase our revenue from next season's CL. So we are well able to absorb marginal increases in matchday costs from income streams other than matchday revenue.

It would be interesting to know what our matchday costs are though. Obviously there's the direct costs of any specific matchday employees, plus police & stewarding costs and gas/electricity. You'd presumably also have to include any element of player wages that was directly performance-linked, such as appearance and goal bonuses.

Thats one of the biggest turn off for fans nowadays and now we even have these ridiculous Friday Eveing and late Saturday evenings.
I`ve said it for years and I`ll say it again "I blame the Chairmen of all PL Teams. It is about time they as a group told Sky to fuck right off and they will dictate the KO times and moreso they will take better care of their fans"
If it comes to a crunch perhaps these Chairmen should call Skys bluff. After all there are plenty of other TV Companies out there who will step in.

I forgot about that, now that will be a pain, to leave Doncaster, hit motorway in rush hr then traffic coming into Manchester, I will watch those games on tv
