Are you missing home games or are you not too mithered?

Gonna be honest, once I got out of the habit of automatically going to every home game (only missed 1 home game since 1986) I wasn't that mythered about going back and didn't even bother with the Everton ballot.
Once I got back last week in Porto though, I realised again how much I loved actually being there. I'll be renewing on Tuesday.

It’s an easy decision if you can afford to go to the games -obviously the last year has affected us all in different ways.So if you are not in a position to pay for the ticket then the TV is fine. However travelling home and away you meet so many blues and gave great memories live football is a must. Hate VAR

To be honest, I've not been too mithered about not being able to go. I've saved a bloody fortune in fuel and the stress of driving thousands of miles to the Etihad over a season, and let's face it, the 'matchday atmosphere' is usually as flat as a pancake.

I'll definitely renew my SC. I'm proud to be a time-served FOC and have earned my FOC concession. I may even relocate just to annoy a new group of people for a year or so.

We are bit un-decided, VAR ruining celebrating goals, ESL fiasco making you realise how little they think of us, mobile tickets and all the faffing that's going to create are all putting me off a bit. I thought I would miss it a lot more than I did when we couldn't go, and have realised we spend about £1k a month going to games. Only missed 10 home games since 1992 so it was a habit, one I have broken. The number of times we sat here through the bad weather in the winter saying "fucking glad we havent got to go to the match" or "glad we didn't go all the way to Brighton for that shite".
What I did notice last Saturday was it wasn't about the game, it was meeting up with friends before the game, having a meal and a few drinks that's what its all about - the friends you make through the football.

Football is all about the social

Take that out and although the game can be good, it simply does not have the pull

Nothing beats going to a match , listening to the dickhead pundits with their affiliations and agendas on the box is tiresome , cant wait to get back to something near normaility , a pint in Mary D's then Summerbee Bar on the concourse for another and sitting down to watch our blue heroes surrounded by likeminded fans.
Nothing comes close and i have missed it like hell , can't wait for next season and hopefully capacity crowds again , already looking forward to the mass exodus with 15 minutes to play :)

If you love football you just CANNOT beat being at a game - especially a big game. It’s the best thing ever; the emotional highs are better than anything I have ever experienced in my whole life.

I really don’t know what to do. I was fortunate enough to go to Porto and had an amazing time, apart from the result and flight home.
I am at a crossroads where my eldest son is playing academy footy which is Sunday games so I will struggle to make city’s Sunday games, my middle son likes going to watch city and my youngest is about to embark on academy footy (hopefully at city). I have really good seats in the ground so don’t want to give them up and I go with my kids, brother and nephew.
if we have to show ID for games then that throws out my plans for my wife taking other 2 boys occasionally when I can’t go as watching eldest play or swapping around so I can take youngest whilst wife watches oldest play.
I could do with applying for 3rd junior season ticket (as when all can go seems unfair to try and choose between them as to who will go) but not sure if I will get one near where I sit and I don’t want to move.
to top it all off my nephew is currently in hospital with Covid which has made me realise how much things are spreading, as well as my mates (who also got season tickets) mum and dad who have had both jabs but still got it.
might decide to take option of having a year off but not sure yet.

Also the issues with getting to and from the ground is making me wonder whether I can be bothered making the effort anymore, especially night games with the kids.
