So, the image below is actually one of a concave face. Most people see it as a convex face, because our mind subconsciously brings out human facial features. Sort of like a cognitive short cut (the face on mars etc)
The optical illusion doesn't, however, affect schizophrenics. Their minds do not make sense of the image, and view it for what it is; a concave face.
