What, so if you get taken out after the ball has gone (or when the ball is nowhere near), then it can’t be a foul?
By coming out and making that stance in front of Alvarez, at the speed Alvarez was coming towards him, he way always gonna be stopping Alvarez in his tracks regardless of where the ball was - and he got nowhere near the ball.
The speed of the move did for the keeper, intentional or not.
Clear penalty for me.

as was said at half time anywhere else on the pitch you knock it past a player who then takes you out its a free kick. Last time I looked the penalty area was part of the pitch.

Did you watch the game? They had two or three golden chances to score in normal time. Should have done in the Germans that day.
