Why is it a piss take? It's work for charity that he's been knighted for.
The best thing about Ellis is he was at Villa from '75 to '79, left (was ousted) to go to Birmingham for a few years during which time Villa won the league and European cup! He returned just after and went on a 20 odd year Swales like stint with Villa.

It's a piss take that he gets a knighthood for charity work.... Stuart Hall got an OBE for charity work.....
