Just as a final word on my neighbour mentioned above. This morning the Last Post was sounded
just before the Family got into the cars outside his house.
I dont know who the bugler was but he was perfect and made a fitting farewell. RIP

The Last Post is such a moving piece. The “highlight” of the Remembrance Sunday service for me. Sorry for the loss of your neighbour, he obviously made quite an impression on you

It was a sad little story starting with him sounding it rather badly just after coming out of Christie's and finishing with a perfect rendition as the hearse and family drove off.
As you say its very moving and l am pleased that Blues showed a compassionate interest in each little chapter of the story.
