I was there. Off the back of Frank Newton and his banana but it was too late. Should have come out in a paddling pool like we took to West Brom.

I went to that game. Came back from Holland on a college exchange trip at Hull port early Saturday.

Went to London by train and made it on time , watched the game. Ended up having to ring home from phone box to pay for train ticket home as had ran out of money!

Arsenal was one of the few grounds that had a Juniors turnstile for an away ground. Had to laugh that day as the “Juniors” ( or Under 16s) included those well into their mid 20s or even 30s, with some full grown beards, all chancing it to get in for half price. “ Are you sure you are only 15?!” Great day out spoilt only by the confusion that reigned as the team trotted out in canary yellow, and were then totally outclassed. For the last 20 minutes we outsang “the library” at 0-4 with We’re gonna win the League” and “You’re the s@%# of London Town” much to the bemusement of the cockneys. Fun times

Friend of mine got 4 hospitality tickets and then premium seats in the Arsenal main stand. Sat right behind Zammo from Grange hill. If only our defenders that day had just said no.

Didn't like the yellow shirt, but I still believe that all our best ever shirts was made by umbro....Id love to see them back...
