Arsenal (A) - Post-Match Thread

For the Arsenal incident, it was reviewed by VAR and as stated by Peter Walton “we looked at it several times from many different angles and were unable to determine with certainty if there was a foul by Ederson.” In these circumstances they can’t give a penalty. For the City incident the referee either didn’t see it or did see it and thought it wasn’t a foul. The VAR review suggested he might have missed something. He looked at it again and overturned his original ruling.

Both decisions were correct and this is how VAR is supposed to work.

Instead of booing Bernardo the Arsenal fans would do better to boo Xhaka whose bad decisions have hurt them so many times.
Walton described it in detail including the differences between the two instances. Rio and that other c*nt Humphries deliberately misrepresented what he said and turned it into ‘inconsistent application of VAR’. That’s now the story. Joleon sat there like a bloody statue and let them do it.

Fair play to those guys from Bangladesh who come over for loads of games.

Easy to knock foreign fans but that’s dedication.
I don't know why people mock foreign fans to be fair the time, money and commitment people put in from abroad to go to games is unbelievable.

Good on them.

To be fair to Wio he said it was a penalty. Humphrey was on a crusade for some reason. It was bizarre how upset he appeared to be when he is, apparently, a Norwich fan.

Despite not playing our usual high tempo game and being on the front foot, I thought we were pretty much in control especially in the 2nd half. Anyway, fuck it!! 3pts and up KlApps bollix.
