Arsenal (A) - Post-Match Thread

Feels good somehow, when you probably shouldn't have got the win but manage to pull it off. This is how it feels to put your only chances of the game away to win a match, it's normally what teams do against us. Except Arsenal only really missed one chance from a careless mistake from Laporte, where City normally miss several in games like that. Not often we get to enjoy victories like this.

Ederson was so ice chilled today. Some of those passes were too close for comfort. Not arrogance just supreme confidence.

Everyone who's adamant that it's a penalty (when it wasn't) are still conveniently forgetting that Arsenal went 1-0 up and then absolutely bottled it.

They're a pathetic bunch of individuals who have a shocking mentality which is why they capitulated in the manner they did.

Thought we looked exhausted and Arsenals press was very good, but a massive three points. That's what champions do.

Ye but all these years of scabby dodgy goals and decisions have the rags

If salah gets his shirt pulled in the box like that is there the mass inquest we’ve seen tomorrow? Is there fuck!
Not sure how everyone is also conveniently forgetting the contact that caused Bernie going over and the subsequent shirt grab that Softstone Choka knew damn well the referee couldn't see from his vantage point.

I don't understand why so many purported experts still feel a foul which would be given anywhere else on the pitch when it occurs in the box isn't a foul. A foul in the box is a penalty it's not subject to additional scrutiny. It's a foul period.

Ive had a mixed view on Arse-n-hole before this game but some of the crap they pulled turns me to despise them not to mention their div fans throwing stuff. Rodri who is off the field a quiet guy sure knew what he was doing rubbing their faces in it shirt off after his composed match winner.

Jesus tapdancing Christ, every comment on my Twitter feed is about Eddie’s “foul” or Silva’s “dive” — you dumb motherfuckers, they had a guy sent off because his first yellow was for PUTTING A DIVOT IN THE PENALTY SPOT — you can moan all you want, idiots, but that’s what lost you/them the match — down to ten with all that time against City because Gabriel is a FUCKING MORON. His rampant dumbshittery destroyed Arsenal’s momentum.

It’s like I said in the “Are City Ruining Football?” thread; all these redshirt cartel clubs are the same…

They have no idea about the true history of football, don’t realise that their clubs were all football nobodies before their rise to the top, ruined football by creating a cartel in the hope they could keep football success and money for themselves forever, are very insecure about their grasp on being top clubs, don’t understand that nothing lasts forever.

Theyre all fucking horrible the redshirt bastards!
Absolutely mate.
Sunderland had won the league 5 times before arsenal got their first title, Newcastle 4 times etc etc.
No fucking idea about the true history of top flight football in this country. These red clubs just seem to choose an arbitrary date when history started.

Slowly going through the posts and seeing some sympathy for fuckin Arsenal in some small quarters. I haven't forgot that infamous letter on Arsenal letter headed paper to try and get us done. I know those cunts haven't been near us in a long while but I haven't forgot how insufferable the twats have been down the years, sneering and looking down at us when they were winning and going toe to toe with the rags. No better than the other 2 shithouse clubs in red. Fuck Arsenal and the penalty spot scuffing pricks.

The “Powers that be” who sort out the fixtures and had us up and down to London over Christmas got a, very deserved, kick in the teeth (& another place that would hurt more) today. You don’t take on the best team in the land, in all the world without them fighting back you dim witted so and so’s!! Fighting back and winning!
Not to mention the start of the season they gave us! It was intentional and we’ve blown them away they must be fuckin gutted!

Arsenal's ill-discipline cost them that match (not for the first time). Said at h-t that was the best 45mins of football I'd seen Arsenal play. Shame for them that a match lasts 90 and they just couldn't keep it together. We obviously didn't have the energy to be at our best but we kept on grinding and got the win in the end which I'm more than happy about.
