No, we didn’t win the CL and that was a disappointment, obviously but I tend to agree with you. I’ve been fortunate to have seen a lot of success at Arsenal in my lifetime so far and most clubs fans would love to have seen that. We are in a relative slump at the moment and hopefully under Arteta we will continue to progress but even if everything goes to plan, there’s no guarantee of success nor should there be. My hope would be to see us win the PL again, but who knows?

Arteta will develop into a good manager , but football is brutal and i dont think he will get the time at Arsenal , there are too many self entitled fans at the 'istree clubs who demand instant success , present company accepted, you appear to appreciate what you once had.

I am not sure any of your points change the fact that arsenal are a **** of a club. Joe Mercer was a great man because he was a great man, not because of an association with arsenal decades ago. To be fair the arsenal of that era is different to the smug cunts and letter writers of the Wenger era
