clearing up the schedule for them by beating them out of the cup is not something that is gonna help us for the PL so its tricky, but the mental aspect of beating them just before we are about to play them in the league could help a bit. well a long as we beat them, because if they beat us in the cup at our own pitch that will make their belief even stronger...

The only way arsenal are going to lose some confidence is by losing games, hopefully starting Friday night. Go full strength, beat them and sow the seed of doubt. Those calling for us to play a weak team or kids can gtf.

I disagree. We need to beat them, and try to beat them convincingly. If we do it will weaken their morale, and us beating them in the cup will have them worried when they play us in the league.

Think CITY will be well up for this. This is a free hit at Arsenal. Could be a benchmark of how we both approach the 2 league games.

Can’t field a weakened team, we have to put a marker down on them. Going out another competition just leaves us with the champions league and a lot of work to do in the prem. We’ve only won the FA Cup twice since the takeover, wouldn’t mind seeing us lift it again.

We need to put a marker down in this game , nothing other than a strong performance and victory will make them tentative in the league game in a couple of weeks , i know its "only" the early stages of the F.A. Cup , but we do not need to encourage the Goons , their young enthusiastic team and self righteous fans need bringing down a peg or two
