Arsenal (H) - FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Sorry you guys don’t look same side to me i think you are still adjusting to Haaland. I think it is advantageous that we are in one competition we care about and you guys have CL, and domestic cup finals. Straight up you are better side. But we are a young growing team didn’t feel overwhelmed by you last year at Emirates and we were a much weaker side then. I wouldn’t be surprised if your scenario unfolded, you got quality everywhere. But your form mate it is disconcerting, i watched you guys for years you don’t create chances in bundles like you used to. You guys are vulnerable and if anyone knocks off it will be Arsenal
Ok premature ejaculation .

We had played less than 48 hours beforehand at the Emirates, another away at Brentford, with a left-back who had been beaten up in his home the night before and still won.

Our form isn't disconcerting, Arsenal's has been excellent and you will have to be nigh on perfect to still best this City team, such is the benchmark we have set for ourselves and the league in general.

All your hard work on here gone out the window in one paragraph there young Jack.

Actually, having had a chance now to watch it on tv since getting home, I take my original statement back. It’s clear he did get a hefty clump from Holding. Mea culpa.

Great win. Pleased for the likes of Ortega, solid at the back, made some good decisions about timing when to come out etc....deserves a longer run. Plus, nothing much wrong with his distribution either.
Iffy 1st half but again, first 20 mins of the 2nd half, we turned it around.
I know everyone wants Lewis to be a huge success but that was another decidedly iffy performance and again, yanked off early doors. Okay Pep, you've made your point or whatever it was you were trying to do but please, play Walker there for a bit.
Good from Grealish as well for the goal, Alvarez has to start more games...he changes things and takes chances with his shooting which is what we need.
Not sure why we seem to going into game management mode after we go ahead, done it a few times recently, trying to see games out as opposed to pushing for a second. We let them have a lot of the ball last 15 minutes.
Hopefully get an easier draw next round

Agree with all of that. And yes, the engine room desperately needs younger legs. He clearly doesn’t fancy Phillips.

Left back has long been an issue but in light of Ake’s superb form, midfield is arguably the priority now. Like you say though, can’t see us getting the cheque book out until the summer.

If we can get our money back on Phillips and put that towards Enzo and Bellingham, I would be relatively happy ;)

To be fair, I'd be happy for Phillips if he continues to be overlooked.
