Arsenal are absolute scum pulling their main players for the international fixtures even though they're not injured

I don't think it's this big benefit a lot on here are thinking it is.

By the time Arsenal play City, these Arsenal players who pulled out will have gone near on 3 weeks without a competitive game of football. That is a long time to be going without "proper" football during this time of the season, and we know as City fans in the last 10 years or so that winning teams do best when they are in a rhythm of games every 3 days or so.

I think considering the run Arsenal were on, I am not convinced this big break will do them any favours. If anything I think it disrupts the flow.

Bloody hate this international football, Foden and Stones slogged for 90 minutes both games
I think all international friendlies should be cancelled while the season is on. Get the international squads together 2 or 3 weeks before each tournament starts. Gutted Walker will now be out.

100% agree, competitive qualification matches are OK, but enough of this pointless international friendly shite. If they got rid of thos shit window we could watch proper football

Feel more confident against the tarquins than I did v the Scousers.

It helps that we're at our place. Last time anybody at the Etihad saw us beaten was November 2022 (Brentford). That said, we've conceded a lot of draws this season (Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Palace — a cool eight points thrown away). Another one this weekend would really hurt us, and it wouldn't do Arsenal much good. It's probably a good thing that both teams will be really going for it.

I can say as an Arsenal fan if KDB plays I'd bite your hand off for a draw. If he isn't playing then I think there's a much bigger chance of us winning.

With KDB in the team and both sides playing to their maximum then City win. If he's not playing and both play to their maximum then that's maybe not the case.

If also worry about walker being unfit assuming Martinelli is fit as he is lighting fast and gives Arsenal an offensive out ball. Walker could neutralise that, not sure whoever comes in has the same ability to counter that threat.

Regardless I'd still bite your and off for a draw but if KDB isn't there then I'd expect it, if he is there then I'd hope for it if that makes sense!
