do we have the balls to go and attack them?

They are a spent force after their last two games with a shaky defence and poor goalkeepers, they also persist in trying to walk the ball into the net.

We must pick a team to play positively whilst they are vulnerable.

I wouldn't say they are there for the taking. They'll be smarting after yesterday's disastrous result so we'll have to approach the game with confidence and not let them get at us. If we take to field looking nervous and unsure of ourselves they'll smell blood and go for the kill. If we can nullify the threat of Walcott and let our front men get at that dodgy defence we could get the three points, definiyely. But I don't think for one iota of a second think that they are there for the taking.

Arsenal are definetly there for the taking, I remember when Chelsea beat them 3-0 at The Emirates and before the game, Ancelotti was asked how they will beat Arsenal? And he replied 'Counter Attack'.
Arsenal always get caught out on the break and thats exactly what we will do to them!

Walcott DID walk the ball into the net for his goal - good job, too, because he cannot hit a barn door with a banjo when he shoots from distance!

I didn't see the game yesterday but I thought they were the better side against Spurs. That was an away game against an in form team and Spurs were really hanging on at the end.

Arsenal have won five in a row at home and have a better home record than us. In fact we could have beaten Everton and the Rags and we'd still only just match Arsenal's home record.

It is possible to beat them, but if we do it'll be a great result.

Wenger wont do anyone any favours,if any of us seriously believe they'll down to prevent Spurs finishing fourth, you need to get a fucking grip.

whilst arsenal are still in it mathmatically they will be giving it everything.
it will be a tough tough game, it will match anything we have done this season to get the points.
but it can be done.....just

Sorry lads and lasses, but havn`t we seen this sort of thread before ??
Only difference was it was about the bloody Rags.
Thought they were there for the taking !!!!!!!!!!!!
Said it before but we are still tagged with our favourite motto "TYPICAL CITY"
Depends how Bobby Manc wants to see the end of the season out and after Saturday some players OWE US BIG TIME to put on a decent display !
We cannot afford to just go for a point as I havea feeling that Spuds will get something from OT.

lets not get ahead of ourselves here

... quotes like 'arsenal there for the taking' get me angry

come lets get a grip. Even before the united game, i read posts on here stating we would thrash united, some even mentioned 3-0, 4-0, 3-1 etc etc. And that the rags were there for the taking. Look at the outcome. Same with stoke, and the everton game. But we failed. i suggest we remove the arrogance and the 'we are too good to lose' mentality. This is why fans start hating a club or its fanbase because ARROGANCE takes over and everyone hates arrogance.

we should take each game as it comes. And hope that we win without the 'already won approach'. Dont forget Arsenal are strong at home and have an equal chance if not a better chance to win that game in front of their fans after a game they should have won. So I can see Arsene tuning his players for come saturday game.

rant over

After the Wigan game I think Arsenal will be looking to put on a preformace for there fans. Right now I would be happy with a point but with all the twists and turns in the league so far you wouldnt rule any result out in this league.

We will beat Arsenal on Saturday I have every confidence in that!!

We will then beat Villa at home followed by Spuds on the Wednesday!!

Keep the faith!!

not sure I would play Adebayor, don't think he could handle the heckling at the Emirates. Will be like Barry going back to Villa only tenfold. Either another midfielder or Santa for me.

The opening title thread could easily have been written before manure.

There for the taking and missing important players.

Let's get real, they are at home, not beaten them in 35 years, and want to settle a few scores.

Say what you want, but Scholes proves, you stand off proper ball players, we haven't got a chance.

Rosicky, Nasri, too much movement for Barry.

I agree.be a good option to have from the bench though.Imagine if he grabbed a winner like Scholes did.Now that would be interesting.

Adebayor is struggling with an injury- surprise surprise!

Hamstring.

I'd put Ade on the bench. Play SWP and Johnson on wings and play Bellamy up-front with Tevez. Do them on the break.

Thats if Bellamy wants to play, looks as-if he needs a rest.

------------Given------------
Onouha Toure Kompany Bridge
SWP Ireland De Jong Johnson
--------Tevez Bellamy-------

or...

-----------Given
Onouha Toure Kompany Bridge
SWP De Jong Barry Johnson
----------Ireland-----------
----------Tevez------------

Ireland will shine against Arsenal because they give away loads of space in the middle of the park. He'll have a blinder and every fan that doubted him will be eating their hats.
