not sure I would play Adebayor, don't think he could handle the heckling at the Emirates. Will be like Barry going back to Villa only tenfold. Either another midfielder or Santa for me.
Start him in the formation I suggested, if he can't hadle it then take him of and put either:

A) Barry (4-3-3)
or B) SWP (Bellamy upfront with Tevez)

Omg. They are NOT there for the taking. They had a bad run and might perform better against city, and to think they have to have a bad game for us to win? LOL.. I think city will go for it and attack, they have to go for the 3 points and they all know that. Even against the rags they tried to go forward but it was hard for the players. They dont "owe us" cos we lost to united, who was favs anyway and have more experience at going into games like that under pressure. Most city players actually played well maybe with the odd exception. Stop complaining and get on with your life.

Arsenal just love to play with teams who attack at them (except Barca). They will hit us on the break and score couple of goals if we think we can play them off the park like we play with other weaker teams. Patience and counter attack will be the key for us in order to get points off their home imho.

Sorry to say this but after the negative tactics deployed by Mancini on Saturday against the Rags I can not see us going away and getting a result at Arsenal. He will set us up again with the only intent in not conceeding, and we will come unstuck.

Very rarely do they lose 3 games on the trot

I didn't watch the weekend's football, but I believe Van Persie's back, and that combined with the return of Adebayor will make this a big game for Arsenal and their fans. Arsenal on their own pitch are never there for the taking.

I have been speaking to a few Arsenal fan's today who work for my company in the south, and they now believe that they can not win the league, and really want us to beat them this weekend, as they desperately dont want Spur's in Champs League.

This season has been so hard to predict, I've given up, I wouldn't be suprised if Arsenal beat us quite comfortably, on the other hand I wouldn't be shocked if we managed to get a win either. I'll just wait and see from now on, I'm just glad im not a gambling man, I'd have lost a fortune this season.

If you read my post more concisely I said "SOME PLAYERS" owe us big time !!
What makes you say that United were favourites, after the result ?
Had certain players played to their capabilities and NOT tried to be individual heroes, then it was a game we could have won !!
Don`t agree that the Rags were favourites, but we did ourselves no favours and I,m soory but I hope those lads prove me wrong, but I`m really struggling to see where our next win this season can come from.
That is being realistic and Bobby Manc needs to make some positive steps too ensure our season hasn`t already eneded.
Please let me eat humble pie you lads in blue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What i mean by favs was on paper, bookies favs. We matched them most of the game. I just mean bookies favs. Im just not blaming people, people have there off days, it just happens.

So you want to drop De Jong who will be needed to break up Arsenal possesion and Barry who with De Jong was the best player in a City shirt, for an old Vieria who wont keep up and dogshite ireland who has done nothing all season. And i thought Hughes was an idiot.

De jong and Barry starting in the holding mid. If we are winning maybe ireland should come on, because i think he needs to get playing again. But then again because of the way arsenal play, maybe a formation of 4-3-2-1 would be better?

Given
Ned -- Kompany -- Toure -- Bridge
De jong -- Viera -- Barry
A johnson -- Bellamy
Tevez

...............................Given............................

...Onuoha........Toure.............Kompany....Bridge..

.....................De Jong........Barry.....................

.......Wright-Phillips......Tevez.......Bellamy...........

..............................Adebayor..........................

Subs: Taylor, Zabaleta, Sylvinho, Ireland, Vieira, A.Johnson, Santa Cruz.

Id just make the one change from the game v Rags, Wright-Phillips for A.Johnson, I thought SWP looked really sharp when he came on and he got the better of Evra a number of times in the short space of time he was on, I think he could cause Clichy problems if he starts!

SWP was fresh. Evra was tired. Think that's all there was to it

We're going to lose, and lose badly. I'm tired of making injury excuses -- we're made of glass, we have no squad depth, no backbone, no fighting spirit. What a horrible season this was. Not one proper win to look back on. We lost against every single top competitor, and got beat by spurs.

Would it be better to leave Adebayor out and therefore take the sting out of Arsenal's hostile atmosphere for him which im sure it will be one of thier loudest games of the season just booing for him every time. Then again, would it spur the team on to win it for Ade, like they did so in the Bridge saga, they really played for Bridge that day, would it be a similar scenario.

-- Tue Apr 20, 2010 8:15 am --

Well hey, you still managed to score 2 past us in 2 games, so you can expect atleast 1 goal! Your still a good side, and with Van Persie returning he will be a major threat. It really will be all about how well you defend the counter attack, Bellamy, Johnson, Tevez and Adebayor breaking away isn't the easiest thing to stop especially when your missing your two centre-backs. But i expect you'll see alot of posession and make enough chances to win the game, its just about us getting that little slice of luck and putting away our chances.
