Are you for real? Bloody Arsenal spending their own money they've generated.

Arsenal got to the stage where they're at through sound external investment in the shape of Danny Fiszman who injected £50m in the nineties. We're doing the same, it just costs a lot more to do it these days. However, the day isn't far away when we'll be self-sufficient and spending our own money too. Apparently, we're already in the top five revenue for a football club, which means we've displaced Arsenal and Chelsea in generating revenue. Sad day for them.

Funny how this Danny Fiszman story is taken as gospel by some fans, all because of one comment by Tony Adams, a legend who sadly talks alot of bullshit and embellishes everything, mainly because he's been overlooked for jobs at the club(and he thinks he's fit to run the club fwiw which is funny). I've talked to numerous people about this 50m story and nobody can say for certain that it's true.

I don't think City are top 5 for revenue, you're pushing for it but then every club is also trying to increase theirs, ours will continue to increase too with sponsorships etc so we'll be right up there.

I don't think City are top 5 for revenue, you're pushing for it but then every club is also trying to increase theirs, ours will continue to increase too with sponsorships etc so we'll be right up there.

I think arsenal is best run club in the league at the moment and we have more money to spend. With one of the best managers in the world and a great team we are only going to get stronger.

Well said mate. We for me now one of strongest teams in england and can win the champions league. We win the toughest group and can go all the way to lisbon if we play well.

Don,t forget we were the only team in europe to beat european champions bayern munich last season on their own turf

Klopp even said after his team won 1-0 yesterday that we are the best team in england. Might be over the top but we have a great team that has a top chance of winning the league at the emirates in may.

City and Chelsea are still favourites for me, they're up there and have another gear you'd suspect.

But the chemistry and balance of our side looks like it can bridge the gap and make us challenge. I'd hope for a good title challenge and win a cup to end this drought, stop the press mentioning it every week.

Big chance next weekend with Palace away and City/Chelsea playing eachother. Need to capitalise. Dortmund before that will be hard but we're favourites at home and they have injury problems. 3 pts there and we're almost through.

It's a shame your fucking manager didn't bite the bullet years ago and spend large - God only knows how many titles you could have won by now if he'd swallowed his pride before now. You'd probably still have Van Persie and Fabregas which would quite frankly be scary.

I'd suggest to you that Adams has more idea of what went on in the inner sanctum of Highbury than you or your cronies ever will.

I think to be honest we have a better squard little bit then both city and chelsea do now. But their little between the three of us. I think we have best chance since 2005 of winning league. more so then 2008 when our lack of depth showed.
Your right that next weekend give us chance to open the gap. beat palace and hopefully those two draw and we can four clear of chelsea and five clear of city before liverpool and united games.

I think we beat dortmund on tuesday. their defence looks shocking this season as shown in their 2-0 away defeat few weeks back. Also loss of gotze has hurt them big time in terms of a playmaker. Their give us a game but fancy us to beat them 3-1.

No, I'm questioning the 50m stuff which is taken as gospel but cannot be backed up anywhere.

Tony Adams can say when he got his first decent contract though and he says he got it when Fiszman's money came in. It's also a strange coincidence that it's around that time Arsenal started spending on some quality players and winning things.

We have a quote from our CFO Tom Glick saying we are:

I reckon he knows what he's talking about. We were only £4m behind Arsenal for 2011/12. Do I reckon we've generated plus £4m over your increases over a year? Abso-fucking-lutely. Chelsea were another plus £30m but they won the Champions League that season.

you are right and he should have spent bigger earlier but to be fair he did not as he did not want us in debt, Point is now we got a a amazing which we only get stronger and stronger.

I think my only worry would be if mertersacker of koschney get injured though with tv to come in if they do and can play sagan at the back. Don,t think we need another top striker. we already got giroud, walcott and pod who all will score loads this season.

I think you have a strong midfield and strikers but lack cover when kompany injured. Amazed he keeps lescott on the bench so often when he was so good for you during your title winning season.

We both of the same level though i think we have the better manager.

You have a fair point and i think we going to have to show we can deal with the pressure come march time. So you make a fair point their.

We've heard for many seasons that Arsenal haven't had the squad to win the league but now they have started well and brought in one decent player they now have the squad to do it.

Haven't they released more players than they've brought in, so what's changed?
