Arsenal Thread 2015/16

I'm going to go out on a limb here - I don't believe that this is all Wenger's fault. He isn't in charge of Arsenal's transfer budget and it's the board that ultimately calls the shots. I wouldn't be surprised if Wenger himself is at least a little frustrated about it all but on the flip side he gets paid £9 million a year and his job is as safe as houses as long as he keeps nailing that top 4 place so he's culpable to an extent but not entirely.
 
I am absolutely sure board is not the reason he spent 10 million this summer. No way any board of such rich club would give him that kind of budget. Most of guilt is on him, imo. He'd get money if he'd asked but since their ambition is obviously just to be top 4 club (lust like they're treating their US sport franchises) he doesn't want to spend as he thinks he has a squad to make that goal and is happy to collect his 8-9 million.

They've been paying him 3 times MPs wage or equivalent for the last 10 years to do exactly what he's doing when most boards would have sacked him, he'd probably get that dinosaur costume on and dance at half time if they asked him to.
 
As long Stan Kroenke owns Arsenal, they will not make significant signings. He sees sports ownership as a way of investment. The Colorado Avalanche suck, Denver Nuggets suck, St Louis Rams are probably LA bound. He's only interested in the bottom line.
 
A team full of soft arses, just like Spurs which is amusing. Not a spine between the two.
