Haven't seen another thread on this match so thought I'd start one. Interesting decision to start Bendtner up front instead of Eduardo in such an important game. I fancy Porto for the draw here.

Porto were looking dangerous on the counter too, quite brave having 2 strikers (Hulk and Falcao) at the Emirates when they had a one goal cushion. Great stuff from Arshavin.

Fiorentina - Bayern is a more interesting fixture for me. Fiorentina up 1-0 right now, not really against the run of play but Bayern has been the most prominent team so far in the first half. Exciting stuff now.

Good finish that from Vargas, looks a decent player.

1938: Arsene Wenger on Nicklas Bendtner's poor finishing in the Gunners' 3-1 win over Burnley on Saturday: "Nicklas is really improving at the moment. That was just an isolated game. He has a good mental strength and, even if he was disappointed with the chances he missed, it will not diminish his desire and confidence to going to the next game. He missed some big chances on Saturday, but that is needed for any young striker at some stage."

From the beeb, got to give Wenger credit for sticking by his lad....hes being repayed in spades at the moment.

Umbelievable Jeff. Just tuned back to watching Fiorentina after switching to the Arsenal game for 10 mins and i've missed 4 goals. Oh and what a goal by Nasri for Arsenal. Reminded me of a certain Geo Kinkladze

-- Tue Mar 09, 2010 10:24 pm --

Noticed Sunderland are winning as well tonight. Is that a good or bad thing?. I think it could give them a major boost for our game on Sunday. Although we shouldn't have anything to fear with our squad.

besides the 1st 10 mins of the 2nd half...
that was some of the best football i've seen in a while (yeah i'm a lil bit biased). bendtner's 1'st goal was created by a great run by arshavin & an even greater ball by nasri. 2nd goal through some individual brilliance by arshavin. nasri's goal >>>>>>>>>>>> (insert any goal so far in 2010). eboue's goal, another masterpiece, brilliant pass from arshavin & even better move by eboue to round the keeper.

i don't know how people can honestly dislike the arsenal... we play the prettiest football in the world (hands down). finances are in order & getting better, bright bright future if you ask me.

agree with everything you say

but i think arsenals problem is that wenger is completely unwilling to change his style when he needs to on occasions. His reluctance to invest at least some money in a couple of big transfers as well could see you miss out on challenging for the top 2 places as well

Suprised they didn't score 10 in the end, tonight was proper arsenal and they had their top playmaker out aswell,

i said back in the summer, should of gone for arshavin, always rate him, cracking little player.
