It would be hard as it’s seen as interfering, no one could imagine what was going to happen.Really knocked me for six this one. I’ve got a 4 year old myself and the thought of that young boy going through the emotional and physical pain crushes me.
I still find it crazy that the grandparents or uncles etc didn’t do more. I know in hindsight it might feel hard to do, but if any child was going through that pain I’d feel I’d really have to intervene more strongly.
Hopefully they suffer immense pain before they think of doing that mateThey clearly both need help. Starting with how to tie a secure knot using your prison bedsheets and precisely where behind the left ear to position it.
Bloody hard to believe if it wasn't true. Poor little soul.
What is your view on why this happens?
Is it as Philip Larkin says:
Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don’t have any kids yourself.
Or is it societal and environmental or is it they are just pure evil? Or a combination of all of them?
Why are some parents such that they are not fit to have children?

On a much less scale you see parents in public (usually Supermarkets) treating children very badly, grabbing hold and shouting at them. I often think in the privacy of their own homes how much further they take it. The other side of the coin is when you see caring parents with a crying child talk to them calmly and reassuringly without the need to raise their voice, they cuddle and hug them, it’s the way to do it and you just know those kids are being brought up in a loving and safe home.Lets have it right parents or people who hurt kids dont deserve to live

Whilst I 100% agree with your point, the only very minor mitigation I could suggest in defence of the grand parents is the fact I understand this is something that happened during the pandemic and we were all confined to home and the children were not at school.
