Arthur Labinjo-Hughes

As a new dad well 18 months now I literally cannot comprehend these 2 complete arseholes. Before my little girl came in to my life I read these stories and felt the same hatred but I look at her after hearing about it and just think how...
This poor little lad bullied, poisoned, tortured and eventually killed. Found my self literally sobbing reading it.
Even hell should turn these 2 away. I hope every living day in prison is an absolute nightmare for themand even then they have got off lightly.

Excellent post .. my ex partner was a social worker and my current wife works in a children’s home .. so I’m familiar with what goes on as I’ve signed papers of disclosure as I’m told things in confidence. My view is none political but the social services are stretched beyond limits absolutely you would not believe what these people are up against this horrible case is just unfortunately one of many there is no point in another enquiry it’s just to make the government looking into there actually doing something. Don’t get me wrong money would of not of stopped this poor Boy’s abuse . The whole of social breakdown in this country is frightening. I’ve never been in favour of the death penalty but I’m getting tested with scum like these totally what do they give us ??
No idea what “I’ve signed papers of disclosure as I’m told things in confidence” means. No such thing in the UK, unless you are in another country. Any breach of confidentiality would be a breach of GDPR and the code of ethics. Usually leads to being suspended by SWE and instant dismissal.

Can you imagine a GP or solicitor’s partner signing a document so that Mr GP can discuss his patients (Mrs Smith’s) anal warts over a cuppa on a Sunday morning with his partner. Great that you support people doing a very difficult job but be careful about putting out misinformation. It’s hard enough getting anyone to trust you as a SW as it is. One of the very reasons that social workers are much maligned is that the levels of confidentiality are so high that they cannot respond no matter how outrageous the media or public perception is.

Hopefully, prison will be a living hell for them. Most people residing at Her Majesty's Pleasure have no time for prisoners doing bird for abuse of children. Apparently, the stepmother has been attacked with salt by other inmates. No doubt, they'll be in solitary. But that might not totally protect them.

I was referring to my ex many years ago who worked in the social services at that time then it was a document. Nothing official I’ll apologise to anyone who I mislead.

.

A social worker on child protection must be the toughest job within social care.

Indeed. Where I work, we have real issues retaining children's social workers. They don't necessarily leave social work. Rather they move to back office (safeguarding coordinators, service development managers etc..). Staff don't just have to deal with very difficult case work but because of issues retaining staff, social workers are over burdened and struggle to give the time to cases that they need to.

I was at Haringey during the Baby P case. Prior to this, education and social care at Haringey was put into special measures by the Govt after the Victoria Climbie case. The person parachuted in was Sharon Shoesmith through Capita. Ironically, she was the person who many held responsible for what happened to Baby P.

This is one of the pieces that I use on my training to show people that we go around in circles.... The murder of Dennis O'Neil. Check the date out....

I've obviously heard of this horrific case, but after being told by my wife that the details brought her to tears, I decided to stay away from reading the details.
I've was out Fri night, had a beer or 2 & ended up reading the grizzly details online.
I'm a man of the world & have seen things that you wouldn't believe in previous jobs but I'll openly admit that this old duffer was blubbing away after I'd read what went on.
I can't recall ever being that angry towards another human being as to what I now feel towards these 2 pieces of scum.
What they put that poor little bugger through is enough to break anybodies heart.

BBC News - Arthur Labinjo-Hughes: Dad and partner guilty of killing six-year-old
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-59489765 not seen a thread about this wee boy. Just saw it in news and it has broken my heart. Poor wee critter at hands of absolute scum
If we had a proper country those two would have an appointment with the gallows. Unless there is dramatic political change we will continue to live a country where killers have more rights than their victims.
