Artists who've covered eachother

Elton John and the Who. Not even the most obvious pair, but there is a slightly unusual double cover there:

Elton John of course did Pinball Wizard, but at the end of that song it segued into I Can't Explain. So when the Who did a cover of Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, they inserted a brief snatch of Take Me to the Pilot at the end in response.

Two for the price of one!
 
About 6 years ago, Peter Gabriel released an album (do I sound old) called You Scratch My Back where about 12 artists did cover versions of Gabriel's songs.
A year later, Gabriel released And I'll Scratch Yours, where Gabriel did covers of songs of the previously mentioned artists.
 
Nirvana covered several of the vaselines songs (son of a gun, molly lips and jesus wants me for a sunbeam) and vaselines did a version of lithium and I think nevermind
