Given that the powers that be are in Abu Dhabi I tend to keep an eye on what they are doing. In particular in regards to footy of course..and this caught my eye given that Khaldoon is CEO of Mubadala.
Hopefully the way Mubadala does things give us an insight in the current thinking at the highest level at City as well..

Abu Dhabi: Mubadala Development Company, the Abu Dhabi-based investment and development firm, will host the first edition of its "Fit for the Future Ramadan Football Challenge" at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec).

The indoor tournament will provide a platform for young players to stay fit, get involved in the community and learn new football skills.
"Mubadala is proud to launch the Fit for the Future Football Challenge, which is part of our year-long programme of initiatives that encourage health and well-being among the local community," said Ameenah Taher, Mubadala's group communications manager.
For spectators and others not actively playing in the tournament, there will be numerous activities for families to get involved, including interactive games and competitions, and an opportunity to meet the stars of the UAE's national football team.
The winning team will receive an exclusive "Mubadala Football masterclass" with the UAE national team's coaches and players, including a tailor-made training programme for each player, as well as match day tickets to the UAE national team's games, and signed merchandise.

I for one like the idea of tournaments at The Etihad Campus involving companies and pub teams alike, the fact that a German company team reached the semis in a penalty shoot-out in Abu Dhabi shows that things are really the same everywhere ;)
But personally I would look more forward to the side activities..That in Abu Dhabi included stuff like an Interactive Zone for the game geeks; Football Freestylers; an XBOX Kinnect Kiosk; and best of all..an Inflatable Football Pitch LOL.
