It tends to be people from the towns surrounding Manchester that seem to be ashamed as i've met loads of people that when you ask where they're from they say 'Manchester' but then it turns out they're actually from places like Middleton, Sale, Oldham etc. Same with the music scene, most of the so called Manchester bands aren't even from Manchester

Sale = M33


The M stands for Manchester in case you weren't aware.

Sale is not technically in Manchester,it's in Cheshire,Manchester is in Lancashire

My family moved from Miles Platting to Langley,Middleton M24
when i was a baby. All my memories are of Langley.

Ile D'Oleron...what a lovely place. Only live an hour away from there, me and the missus plus one dog often take the tent over there during the summer and stay over for days at a time. The other French ex- residential places are also quality.

I don't feel like I'm from anywhere.

Born in Essex, but only lived there until I was 8. I obviously have memories, but I definitely don't feel like I'm from there. Lived in Warrington since with a few years in Manchester for uni. Don't feel like I'm truly from Warrington either, although that's where I'd probably say if anyone asked.

Northern accent though, thank god. ;)

...was there for the first two years of my degree course - lived in leafy oxton, which was a great place, just down the road from the Caenarfon Castle boozer. Too many nights in Atmosphere club having the piss taken for being students by the locals (the DJ used to shout out "here's the students" and start playing some shite smiths whilst the scallies waved imaginary gladioli in the air!) or coming home on the all night tunnel bus with feet up to avoid the tsunami of piss and vomit that used to slop up and down... hence the move over the water for degree year...
