Definitely not. North Mancunian and proud of it.

I know some **** who is ashamed of where he's from though. He grew up round here with me and whilst I chose the school - work route, he went into the military. Went to some college in Nottingham and then onto Sandhurst. He described himself as being from a village not too far from Saddleworth to his new, posh fuck mates, rather than saying he was from Moston, Manchester. He felt it sounded more well-to-do. Since then he's also said how he would never be able to bring himself to drinking with the people he grew up with, because we're not on the same level as him. What a cock. We're convinced he now uses words like 'chap', drinks port and smokes cigars in his study, possibly whilst listening to Mozfuckingart.

I like listening to Mozart but I'm also happy to say we could run faster than the parkies in Boggart Hole Clough!
Yeah Pige i like listening to Mozart as well you heathen!

Never been ashamed of Eccles lots of good people here.

Taught on Langley (Middleton) for 20 years and had a ball, loved my job and the fantastic people and great kids 99% of the time. One can never say everything/everyone is 100% good or bad because no one is perfect. :-)

Nah i could be on the move again in a couple of months, Mrs Underpants has us down for a council bungalow, we are private renting at the moment.
See you have lived in places i have, Fremantles better than Perth thou cobber lol
Certainly is,my mate lived in that big block of flats in the centre and we used to have a good pub crawl around there.
I notice you didn't big up Ashton though!.
I only lived in Fremantle when i was a kid but loved it my parents were 10 pound poms, 1964 to 66, we lived on Lefroy Rd Beaconsfield not far from fishermans harbour and Robbs Jetty, best 2 years of my life.
Ashton was just a 9 month stopover in a grotty flat to be near work in Stalybridge while my divorce was going through, liked it though, loved the pubs (xcept Bowling Green) got mates there and go on piss there sometimes after home games
I lived in Swanbourne in Perth,I worked on the mines at the time and it's a great place but expensive these days even by Sydney standards.
Beaconsfield is a very sought after area,in Freo. All this is making me start thinking of going back not Ashton though, was back last year and was underwhelmed.

Salford
Cheadle Hulme
Hazel Grove/High Lane
Salford again.

Good and bad about all of them but High Lane was nicest place for me.

Salford has many great people but some real scumbags in it but am never ashamed of anything but the Rag shirts everywhere.

I would move in a heartbeat though. Sick of high insurance and my pokey little house and seeing dickheads sunbathing on top of bus shelters
