Ashburys train station on derby day will be closed

from 10am, i'm not sure if they do this for every derby day but wouldn't want people to get caught out by it. (blues anyway)
 
Yeh they do it for the derby every season. Not sure why, but I guess it will be something to do with policing costs etc
 
It's annoying thats for sure I walk to Ashburys get the train to Piccadilly then get the train to Chester home (with a four year old its the best and shortest walk for him) a lot of the trouble happened heading down towards where they are building the new metrolink line after the carling cup game and thats the direction I am gonna have to walk on Sat.

Walk down the canal mate, its quicker than down the main road and brings you out right by the back of Piccadilly station.
