Assault on Barca...

So, on the agenda of the Manchester City are several Barca players. Interest 'citizen' for two of them, Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Busquets has already transpired and so was published a month ago. But there are at least three players of Barça in the ManCity has his sights: Xavi Hernandez, Pedro Rodriguez and Victor Valdes.

So we're looking at 5 of Barca's starting XI? Yeah okay

I'll pass on valdes have never liked him and xavi is getting up there in age. None of those guys would want to leave barca and why would u. Great club great place to live.. its really a perfect situation

Busquets is too slow.

His pace, or lack there of, does not in an away take away from the fact that he is one brilliant player. The best DM in the world.
Next time you watch Barca play, study Biscuits in detail ,see how he position himself. It will make you forget he he is no Usain Bolt.

I think he might be one of a very few who would actually consider moving from Spain to the PL; him, Pedro and Thiago, and anyone of them would be fantastic.

For a team which tneds to set up a more defensive formation and style of play, De Rossi would be the better choice. But for a team such as ours and with the way we play, I think Busq would be the better alternative.
Daniele though would obviously be an awesome alternative, not much separating them two.
Xabi Alonso is also one of the best five DM's in the world.

Busquets is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world, but I agree, he is not as good as De Rossi.

If you put De Rossi in Barcelona's team, I honestly believe Busquets would be on the bench.

De Rossi is a big fish in a small pond, a one club man who will never get the true praise he deserves because like Gerrard, he has never moved on when the right time came about.

De Rossi could of potentially been one of the greatest defensive midfielders ever, I can respect his loyalty to Roma, but his footballing legacy will never be a good as it should of been.

He has stayed in his comfort zone too long.

Again I think they are both among the best DM's in the world, and not much is separating them two, But what I feel we lack in our squad, is a deep laying playmaker, someone to move the ball from defence up the pitch a lot quicker than what we do today. Normally Yaya have to drop deep to go get the ball and I would prefer to see him further up the pitch.
De Rossi has a great passing range, but I feel he would not help us with that particular problem as significantly as Sergio would.

Oh, and I agree with you on De Rossi and his career.
