Aston Villa (A) - Post-Match Thread

Was fearful after the 1st half we would get a 4 or

As Villa fans are we supposed to be happy about losing our best players to city all the time ? ie Barry , Milner, Delph , Grealish ? How are we supposed to build a team to compete if this keeps happening? City didn’t need Grealish .It’s easy for city fans to applaud ex players as when you move players on you are bringing in world class players to replace. UTV
It's the hypocrisy, bet you had no sympathy for Norwich when you signed Buendia, similarly Watkins from Brentford & then the audacity to sign Ward Prowse from Southampton

That's it, all conveniently forgotten.
They also forget that Villa would probably have been relegated a season ago if the goal line technology had shown the ball over the line as tv cameras did in their game against Sheffield Utd.

Only thing I can say for Aston Villa is it's a better place to go than Brummie City.

Jealousy and ignorance...
Jealousy and ignorance...and an almost fanatical devotion to delusion

Jealousy, ignorance, an almost fanatical dev...I'll come in again.
There was a Villa fan on one of the social media platforms claiming they're a bigger club than City, Chelsea and Spurs

Not one for getting into the my club is bigger than yours nonsense... but I'd love to know on what basis he came to that conclusion

In the most successful season in their history, 1982, we had a shit season and averaged almost 10,000 more than them. The only time in the last 50 years they’ve ever had higher attendances than us it was when we were in the lower divisions but even then it was close. Every season we’ve both been in the top division going back long before our takeover we’ve had higher attendances.

Many football fans are daft biased clowns but Villa appear to have more than most.

They feel big due to Wolves Birmingham WBA and Coventry. Nobody leaves the Midlands so they have no bigger picture.

Apart from the little known 82 european cup win that they don't like talking about... I don't think there's a single criteria you could base this on where they beat us
