No, they were 2 behind. They beat Newcastle & we beat West Ham. We won the league by TWO points, not three. Almost impossible for them to overcome the GD though

The Gerrard talk in the buildup to this is already insufferable. As if the Villa players give a fuck... People are going on about it as if the likes of Matty Cash and Lucas Digne will be flying into tackles shouting "YWNA!!"

They'll view it like any other midtable team would playing against us on the final day -- they'll try to spoil the party in the same way Brighton wanted to in 18/19, for example. They'll be marginally more motivated than usual just for the sake of playing a role in the title race but that's about it. Ultimately nothing to play for so hopefully on the beach a bit.... Just score first and control the game like we normally do and we should come out on top.
