What about other clubs like Bournemouth who have never been in the premier league or really won any big competition? Clubs that have really had to suffer in administration in league 1 or 2.

I'd like to see some of those clubs take Villas place.

The problem he's got is that while they are almost dead it's too early to accept it in public. Essentially it's too early say let's start building for next season with 15 games remaining.
But Norwich are top of the bottom 4 with exactly one point per game, so it's easy to assume around 38 points will be required to stay up therefore Villa need 25 from 15 games or 1.6667 points per game. That equates to approx 38 points from the 23 games played and the closest is the Dog and Duck currently in 5th place. So Villa need to play as well as the 5th place team for the rest of the season to stand any chance, and while the current 5th place team are no great shakes, it's hard to see Villa doing it. Perhaps they need a fillet Sophie or whatever it's called.
