When they do go down, I await the first article saying he's wasted his talent at Villa, he would have been a better player if he moved, and that he's a perfect example of a player showing loyalty and that loyalty being detrimental to his career. I'd say he stayed there because he was comfortable, is a big fish in a small pond, is not weighed down by high expectations and has become a millionaire on the back of it.........and has now given up, showing a total disregard for the fans.

Had to be honest; when I first saw that story this morning, I thought April fool. But Sky and the Beeb have been going heavy on it all day, and I saw an interview with the interim manager at Villa saying that he's been left out of the squad, so it must be true.

Villa are top heavy with career stealers. Apart from the two you've mentioned, you can add...
Hutton (a donkey; I can't figure how he's made a career as a pro footballer),
Guzan (he's become a liability),
Grealish (like Stones and Barkley, overhyped because he's English)
Micah and Joleon (they're finished as top level defenders)
Gestede (Championship level at best)
Clark (see Guzan)
