I was hoping for second team or eds to start.
Well, you know Pep doesn't think like that, so I feel you are to be disappointedHope we play the weakest side possible and rest players for the weekend.
The Liverpool game is far more important
Winning instills a positive feeling. I would much rather we face Pool on Sun with a solid win with our key players getting plenty of game time. Injuries can happen at any time, including training so we just have to accept this.I was hoping for second team or eds to start.
That's what he did at Spurs in the CL quarter-final last season. Not only did we change team selection, we also changed the style of play, and Pep has explained this so many times.Well, you know Pep doesn't think like that, so I feel you are to be disappointed
Im not sure Marv. Pep's mantra has always been the next game is the most important and I dont expect him to change that philosophy. I think Sunday is more a fans thinkingThat's what he did at Spurs in the CL quarter-final last season. I am sure the squad will be quite strong, but we will for sure have the Liverpool game in mind.
If we win today, we can concetrate on the league for the next 4 months, which might help us win it. Plus the game on Sunday is so big that tiredness shouldn't be a thing. Most of our players have been rested in some games and nobody has been overplayed so far.
It's a shame that Foden got the red card, he could get 90 minutes today. There will be rotation but not at the League Cup level. Don't see a reason why Ederson won't start, Cancelo and Angelino will be the FB because,in my opinion , Walker and Mendy will start against Liverpool , Ota must start today because I think he will start also in Liverpool with Stones probably with him so this is an opportunity for them to play together. I Believe that Mahrez ,Jesus and Bernardo will play. The ones who will rest, or at least that's what I think are- KDB, Aguero and Sterling
What is the difference then between their games which makes one more suited to the Premier League? You will need to justify a difference in the Premier League and the Champions League and also identify differences in their games to do this. I wouldn't bother trying to do this as for me the jury is still out on each player. We don't know how well Mendy is going to recover from injury and Angelino is just growing in confidence. We don't really know yet his capability, and weaknesses.Disagree on Mendy - I think he's better suited to the CL so will start tonight with Angelino (who is better in the PL IMO) starting on Sunday.

AgreeYeah i know, hopefully we don't get any more injuries
LolPlay the women’s team
Im torn on Mendy v. Angelino v. Liverpool. I think A is less the D liability than M but maybe M is more dynamic moving forward... however A seems to have skills in that regard.Disagree on Mendy - I think he's better suited to the CL so will start tonight with Angelino (who is better in the PL IMO) starting on Sunday.
The key to beating Liverpool at anfield is to stop their full backs creating the sort of pressure they did against Spurs. It depends on whether pep decides the best way to that is to keep them occupied in their own half or play defensively solid defenders. If only Laporte had been fit we would be playing three at the back and wing backsWhat is the difference then between their games which makes one more suited to the Premier League?
