Ake didn't put a foot wrong. Thought he was excellent today!
I wouldn’t want to be on the end of it, got a seat next to the wheel chair bit, best access I’ve had in years.Don’t go getting logical on me!! :-) In my head I could then say John Boy was definitely best. ;-)
I’m just watching the bit I missed when I fell asleep and that ref was a bit narky wasn’t he? Do you think he has a bet on that daft team we were playing against?
Simeone was lucky I wasn’t there tonight because he’d have got the sharp edge of my tongue as my Gran used to say!
If you’d said you were over I’d have got you a pint.I picked Ake, my kid picked Foden for changing the match. I thought Ake was a tower of strength. How many passes did he cut out? Blocks? Tackles? And did he lose a header? That was a magnificent defensive performance. The rest of the back line contributed too.
Back in my hotel after a glorious day. It’s so great to FINALLY be back after three years unable to cross the pond and to share it with my kid for the first time was even more special. My voice is hoarse from singing and screaming at that hamster-twat of a referee and the Spain’s Olympic Diving Team.
You do realise there was 2 banks of 5 players cutting off all the space to attack in.I voted for Phil, but really only because he was pretty much the only one that wanted to attack tonight, what a fantastic pass to kev. Ake was also awesome again, also thought Stones, Eric and Cancelo were good - most of the time, nothing much came off for the rest.
