Atmosphere - 2023/24

I'm a strong critic of the atmosphere and our sit expectantly fans. No-one could complain about that last night, particularly first half. Nice that very few left early despite the potential transport problems. Good all round.
If you leave and don't enjoy games like that last night, mayhap football's not for you.
 
If we don't get a song going for Kovacic and Gvardiol to the chorus of 'Cigarettes and Alcohol', I'll be disappointed.

Is it my imagination
Or have I finally found something worth living for?
I was looking for some action
But all I found was cigarettes and alcohol

Is it worth the aggravation
To find yourself a job when there's nothing worth working for?
It's a crazy situation
But all I need are cigarettes and alcohol

Rhymes perfectly with 'Croatian', too...

Just seen a Newcastle fan video and he said the atmosphere last night was intimidataing and basically stated the accusations about fans not turning up and the atmosphere were nonsense. If only specsavers blew the crap out of peoples ears i'd suggest some on here should pay a visit.

Ok so your first reaction from yesterday was average performance and shite atmosphere as it was silent for 80% of the game. Now I’m a FOC but I think you are a FOMC who fucking moaned in the Main Stand .
 
I think the main difference on Sat was expectations. I was expecting an atmosphere better than any we had seen , forget the first derby win or Hamburg, we were welcoming home a group players who have brought us success we could never have dreamed of. As it turned out it was a mid to upper atmosphere , not even touching a normal derby match .Not shit but certainly not what the boys deserved

As mentioned below it was more about expectations, also I was an Umbro stand boy at maine road, couldn't stand the moaning bastards in the main stand
