Atmosphere 2024/25

Just messaging to say we've filled our initial allocation and City have accepted our request to increase the allocation beyond 50 seats.

It's one game guys. If you can join us and help contribute to a great atmosphere, just do it! Imagine what we could do with ~100 fans all committed to creating a brilliant atmosphere high up under the roof. Some of you have been banging that drum for years - time to contribute and try to prove the point.

I don't want to transfer from my season-ticket seat to SSL3 but I'll make an effort to sing in 305. I think all blues should wear colours if they can and be in their seats 5 minutes before KO for when the players come out.

@Manchester33 what's the deadline for signing up to be in the SS3 singing section vs Leicester? Got a few mates who might join, but they won't know until the weekend

Hey mate - we have a deadline of Tuesday at 9am…. HOWEVER:

We have been given an increased allocation of 111 seats. We have 87 names. At current pace we’ll have filled the 111 seats by tomorrow afternoon.

At least this shows the club is willing to work with 1894 and the fans.

I hope that can be translated to the new North stand, level 2, tier?

The people we deal with at the club for this type of thing have always been brilliant. Really helpful.

The ticketing guys have a lot of work to do to facilitate this. It’s nice that they’re increasing their workload to provide us fans an opportunity to do our thing.

Good point, I have to agree. I’m SS3 and I’d say there’s less than 1,000 regular singers up there. But on the occasions when we get the rest of the stand singing, we create proper noise that travels to the rest of the ground.

Although my enthusiasm has waned dramatically about the new stand, 1,000 singers at that end bouncing off the singers in the South upper, lower and Kippax corner would make the whole place feel different. I’d also be glad we’re not shifting the problem from one end to another as we would if all the current singers moved.

Tell you what I wasn't sure you'd fill the 50 to begin with, so if you get over 100 that'd be a cracking effort for a Wednesday night game.

Take 100 to the North Stand next season, would be interesting to know what it’s like with noise coming from that end of the stadium. I reckon quite a few of the regulars there would join in as well.

The problem with me being there is you won’t get my weekly critique from the Colin Bell Stand. Someone else needs to do it.
