Well they won't this season, because it looks like City won't win a trophy, bar the FA Cup, and possibly miss out on acCL place. Our wage structure is very success bonus related.

Plus we will be losing a lot of high earners at the end of the Summer, KDB being the main one, probably.

Phil Foden will still be getting £300k per week along with a few others. Yes they get big bonuses that make up a healthy chunk of their overall packages. I was on Phil’s street where he was brought up today. I also visited Maine Road that brought back special memories. Once a Blue, Always a Blue.

That’s absolutely terrible. Despite the fact that I’m not from Manchester, even England for that matter, you should (a) Know a few chants and (b) not cheer for the other bloody team. We’ll be losing a lot of revenue if we don’t make top 4/5 and qualify for the Champions League.

It’s been doing the rounds on Twitter. I recognise the name of the fella who did as a match going regular too. Fair enough flipping your own ticket but taking a FV spare off another blue in good faith and selling it on for a few quid is next level tramp behaviour. Way worse than anything the club have done.

Yes it would be brilliant because I want a supportive crowd.

In reality, on a premier league game when there are very few 'tourists' how many sing. Just the South stand and then every now and then a few join in.

What we have to do is turn the new into the old. It will be very difficult as much of the old are silent anyway. And it will be even more difficult if the old take against the new. I am aware that a large number of City fans sense difference and don't like it but all they are is new fans. In amongst them are neutrals and away fans. You'd think people would be able to work it out.

The Hamburg game was Europa League not Champions League and we hadn't won a pot for over thirty years so were hardly a magnet for tourists.

I think that's completely unfair on the likes of Alex Howell who contribute plenty of time and effort to holding the club to account on its shortcomings.

I agree, but it’s a waste of time - city matters. It’s a tick box exercise to make it seem like the club are listening.

All these groups would be better off combining to form a supporters trust - easier said then done. It’s the only way our fans will have a voice that can challenge the club

It is their fault.

By willingly taking part in a process which everyone knows is a token gesture by the club paying lip service to fan engagement, they're part of the problem rather than part of the solution.

I imagine they're largely people with too much time on their hands who have their egos boosted by interacting with officials from the club regardless of how patronised they are.

Similar dynamics to our Wembley games against United.

Probably. I remember being on this forum and the seats just vanished from the planner. People were spending £20 for their whole family to come.

I was the original seat counter before it got fashionable.

As I said earlier I went with my Canadian Granddaughter who has been a registered City supporter since she was about 6 months old.
Whenever the family come over, parents were Season Card holders at Maine Road and travelled to away matches regularly, we try to get tickets for the 4 of them not always successfully. So they are tourists in your eyes but not really.

Anyway the one I went with is over here on a Student Exchange for 6 months studying Criminology and International Law at Leeds university and she was asking me last night how do people get tickets for any football game. The students she is in halls with are a mixture of Australian, Canadian, Swedish and Chinese. They would love to attend a match and have been trying for Leeds without success so tried for others not sure who. So it isn’t quite as easy as some folk think obviously.
We will need youngsters to follow us as we drop off you know and the demographic is changing.

I had to very politely turn around and remind the "neutrals" who were cheering goals from Madrid and enjoying us get beat a bit too much that they were guests and should behave as such.

I actually don't care about tourists. Watching an Asian lad who clearly loves City come to his first game and get involved is quite sweet. The one and only thing I want is to be surrounded by people who are blues and experience the joy and pain collectively.

Best post here. Manchester is full of international people, especially from Asia, but also overall, we have lots of Asian Mancs. Otherwise, we really do have real fans all around the world, and that's fantastic.

Too many people here come across like they just want only particular local, white Manchester people, preferably from old Maine Road days. That's where we need to draw a line. Lots of tourists care more about games than the locals. Many of the so called locals are there to chat with their mates, drink beer, be late, leave early. They don't sing, they are not bothered.

However, there is an issue of non City fans attending, in big numbers, and that needs to be stopped. Unacceptable from the club.
