They used to do that a few years ago when we didn’t sell out domestic cup games. It was a right ball ache for us season card holders on the top tier. They’d shove you in some shit seat near the front, then the tier would open later on but your seat was gone.In cup games fill the bottom tier first, then the middle, then the top - that way good atmosphere and it looks good on TV.
Now we sell pretty much all of them out, apart from the early league cup ties, so it’s not relevant.

Stop serving beer 30 minutes before kick off. Get people in their seats before kick off and not 5 minutes after.
Serve better food and drink. £1 per pint 90-60 mins before KO. Put decent stuff on the TVs. Encourage people to be in the concourse earlier. If they’re there and the beer stops flowing, they’ll go up to their seat. Effectively, turn the concourse into a better experience than outside or the pubs.
Quit the kid centric entertainment. Sure, kids need to be entertained but do that on the pitch near the family stand. It’s tedious for everyone else.
Get rid of them horrific pre game videos. The first one was great but they gradually get worse. Last seasons chav/cockney narration was abhorrent.
Pounding, Wonderwall, Hey Jude before the game. Does anyone remember Maine Road when it would be quiet until the first note of “right here right now” dropped and the whole place would be on their feet ready for the players. Go back to that.
Bin the WiFi. Hugely unpopular this but, if people are on Facebook, they ain’t contributing to atmosphere. 4g signal is shit anyway, so should get people off their phones.

We’ve got them in our South stand , just waiting to be able to stand legally .
As an away fan the music piped into our area before the CL GAME was ridiculous . No point starting a chant , if it’s going to be drowned out , by shite music .
Anyway which away fans are the top 5 and bottom 5 for atmosphere

I watched The Prodigy video for Firestarter yesterday.
Seemed like a great tune,( fast bits, slow bits, everyone knows it) to be put to a video of goals, celebrations, slow-mo’s around players.
Maybe an issue with some of the lyrics, but surely there’s a way of editing them out.
