Your mum.

I only give a fuck about what goes on on the pitch for 90 minutes.[/quote

There you go problem solved watch the 90 minutes at home jobs a good un, and I'm not embarrassed by what scholes said, where did I say that , what I'm saying is he is correct in what he is saying about our support last night. I know you don't care about how many turn up or what the atmosphere is like, what I'm saying is that it's people like you that bring the atmosphere down, so instead of acting like a 15 year old net warrior and having a pop at me at many others especially heart bypass patients why don't you book some theatre tickets.

As for the rest, you are making stuff up about things I never said, so I aint wasitng my time.

All I will say is, where does it say in the Terms & Conditions how I should act at a City match in regards to what you want?

It doesn't but I don't have to like it , and if you feel the game wouldn't be improved by a full house and a better atmosphere you are deluded, I don't think you go much anyway so all good.

I remember few years back some fans singing to the liverpool fans "where were you on weds night" because of a low turnout on one of the famous european nights at anfield, even the tv person mentioned it, it happens all the time even to the so called BIG clubs.

Yep - it's a complete and utter myth that even the two most popular clubs in the country have always played in front of full houses on European nights. United's compulsory ticket scheme for all ST holders masks the true interest in their group games and go back before the ACS was in place and you'll find some surprisingly low crowds for their European games such as 20k for a game against Torpedo Moscow in 1992, and 28k for their first European game for 5 years after the ban on English clubs was lifted in 1990. Liverpool's are even worse - just 17k turned up for their first home European game after their 6 year absence in 1991 and 16k for another home game that same season.

Kolarov commented in the programme about the lack of atmosphere and the need for the fans to get behind the team because of how much it helps them. The biggest roar of the night from us lot was when 5 minutes extra time was announced !!
The club have not learned a single lesson about the champions league. All the away games, the away fans are stuffed up in the gods - just wait to you go to roma - 80,000 screaming italians and we will be gasping for air where we will be. when we go to 60,000 seats, the atmosphere will be non existent.
We should rename the stadium TUMBLEWEED TOWERS…………...

I have just got back home after an 100 mile round trip. I go literally to every home and away game. For Champions League I get moved from my seat in 207. Last night I realised the club had my ticket up for sale and asked to be moved back to my normal seat. I was surrounded by plastic fans. To make matters worse they had sold my ticket to some knob who wanted to sit in my seat, despite the fact I had an e mail from my club to say me and my lad were now located in our normal seats. I am really mad about this. I think the club need to wake up to the fact you can have the best stadium, players etc..... but the club is nothing without proper fans. If it was upto me I would put away fans, friends of FIFA and any other Corporates in the top tier at the back. Remove the section of roof so they get pissed wet through when it rains or frozen stiff + we won't have to listen to the crap they sing.

Ref the atmosphere - anyone who did not turn up tonight should be embarrassed. You are making us a laughing stock. All these threads contain excuse after excuse about why the ground has no atmosphere. No wonder if you are sat at home !
The only thing embarrassing is you with stupid comments. I like many others didn't go last night due to financial reasons. If I could have afforded it I would have been there, just like everyone else that didn't go for the same reason. I pay fory season ticket, I choose my cup games and away games because there's more to life than football you know, see you at villa Saturday will I?
Embarrassing pfft!!

You assume an awful lot.

I remember watching united v red star Belgrade in the super cup final. 23,000 there.

Would there be anyway we could get a block for all new ideas. Like LoveCity said? Flags, drums whatever the group wanted to do.

The problem with the 1894 group one is that it ends up at the back of the block and no real impact can be made. That's the clubs fault not the group who do great work.

Atmosphere and gate were poor. Playing Blue Moon on the tannoy 10 mins before kick off with 30,000 empty seats is stupidity in the extreme. Solutions?

~ Need a "Blue Wall" when the third tier opens up, so we can have a singing section that is not only not in competition with the dedicated, core, vociferous away support, but allows those that do sing to be in one place, rather than the current three...who drown each other out due to the simple physics of sound traveling relatively slowly. If that means moving people, so be it. In addition, if City can get permission for it to be a standing area, that would be even better.
~ Need to move away fans out of the way, and not just for CL games. Put them in the top tier in the Family/North Stand. Fans who think they need to be next to the away fans to have some "banter" need to think a little bit more about supporting the team and less about giving the away fans the Vs at every opportunity. Look at all the big stadiums and you will find very, very few where away fans are in a prime location...or even where they move the prime singing home fans for a big Cup game!!
~ Need to change the "Cup Scheme" system that drives away people near where I sit (East Second Tier) due to the already perceived high cost of their seasoncard. We see a fair number of day trippers up here and many of the people who sit around us don't belong to the Cup Scheme due to not always being able to get weekday evenings off, or not being willing to commit to every game in the scheme.
~ Need to reduce prices for regulars, be they seasoncard holders or just members who have attended X number of games. With the current level of success in the cup competitions, the expense quickly racks up. Maybe very inexpensive League Cup games, slightly less inexpensive FA Cup games, and slightly less inexpensive CL games, where all the prices are significantly lower than the regular games. It is far better to have a full stadium of excited fans than pricing people out or squeezing people who then turn on the club when we don't get a result but they feel like they've laid out a wad for the pleasure of seeing a performance like last night.

I'm sure there are plenty of other ideas from other people, but something needs to be done to make The Etihad what it really could be.

This is similar to what I posted earlier in the day. The Etihad is the only stadium I can think of where the AWAY fans have the prime location in the ground for singing, vocally supporting their team and the top spot for viewing the game. It's an absolute nonsense. It allows the away fans to dictate the atmosphere within the stadium. It enables the visiting team to celebrate close up and personal with their fans when they score a goal - hence urging each other on all at our expense. Who really is thinking this up?

I have lost all interest in this competition for a reason I cannot put my finger on.
Possibly the ffp bollocks..possibly the awful state of officiating week in week out in this comp.
I never thought i'd ever say this but since I hit 40 in Jan football is less important to me.Now dont get me wrong,I adore my club but I have lost the bug for the so called big nights in europe..didnt miss a game at home in cl for last three yrs but now im flat with it all.
Seeing ferdinand..scholes and all the negative shit today in the press is a minor issue but all part of the whole thing. Its just a competition I cant see me going back to any time soon..

My feelings in a nutshell. As a long time fanI find all the sniping and negativity is grinding me down. I doubt very much if I will attend another CL match. Sad I know.
