Atmosphere tonight

The day trippers and away fans make a massive difference. Massive.

Right behind me, there was block of 8 Roma fans, all side by side. Next but one to me, two tourists. In front of me were a couple of the usual ST faces, which was great to see, but then a row infront of them... 4 tourists with cameras. It's massively breaking up the atmosphere. I can't speak for all blocks, and perhaps the north stand doesn't have this issue, but CB stand's packed with tourists.

So... it seems the usual faces (ST holders?) aren't buying CL tickets... and either a) no other City fans want the tickets either or b) the tickets are immediately snapped up for the foreign market.
I can't help but feel b) is happening a lot... and that touts are buying the tickets as quickly as possible and flogging them on... meaning the club think they tickets are sold, but aren't realising where they are actually ending up (or they do know and don't care).

It's not the tourists or away fans at fault, I don't think anybody's blaming them per se, it's just that having so many of them DOES hinder things, and we already have an atmosphere problem!

The away fans need to be in ONE section, and we want our hardcore singers all together too. And if we still struggle to sell out, at LEAST try and make it look decent for the cameras and close out the upper tiers, rather than have huge arrays of missing seats opposite the cameras and behind the north stand goals. That really is not helping ourselves.

Anyone think it would be good if we did what Napoli, Basel and Dortmund do, when they score the announcer reads out the first name with the crowd screaming the second name?
I think it's a good idea. But couldn't see it working for us.

No.
Why don't need to copy others (even though the Poznan was fun for a while).

We just need to be noisy. That's all. Noisy. Scream for handballs, throwins, and every decision possible.

Just think it would sound excellent with 46000 blues screaming Aguero after he scores v the rags in the league.

people watching on tv complaining about the noise, just fuck off .,I was in the family stand and I got to say the people in the singing section gave as good as they got, well done guys, the atsmosphere was fine,ok not bouncing but no better or no worse than expected, and by the way stop blaming "day trippers ,tourists,a least they go,
Just out of intrest was 'when the blues go marching in' noticeable. It fucked my boice trying to keep it going for 20 mins in the corner

Several issues for me:

I don't think the players believe they are anywhere near winning the CL for the foreseeable future and thus this transmits into a lame, laboured and at times poor attitude towards the competition. I know for a fact that a lot of our fans know we won't get near winning it until another 5 maybe 10 years.
Yes it's the trophy the owners most crave but until the players get more street wise and the coaching gets street wise we people will just get frustrated with UEFA and the CL. Plus the corrupt officials and Twatini. I'd rather not be in it,

Anyone watching this Basle vs Liverpool match right now?
You can clearly see most of the stadium is sat down, quiet spectating the match.

Yet behind the goal is a set of singing supporters, constantly backing Basle, colourful and making noise.

It does work, we just need to petition/protest the club owners, get them to notice that we the vocal hardcore blues want a section behind the goals.

But are we this organised/committed to actually protest?
Fuck surveys, actually camp outside the stadium until the club acknowledge what many blues want.

I'm up for it.
