Look and hear the difference., btw I know these were important games. Everyone singing and getting behind the team. This is what we are capable of. So let's recreate this and show twats like scholes we are one of the most passionate fanbases there is.

These were great games as well, not even that log ago.

the atmosphere now is no different to that 20 years ago (since the Kippax last stand), some days rocking, some days very quiet, just the way things are. (Sunderland Easter circa 2001 singing 3 nil and you still wont sing?)

I went to see the film night at the Cornerhouse about the history of City organised by Gary James a while ago, which had a very emotive few minutes of film taken by someone in the Kippax years ago.

For me, it brought the atmosphere of the past back to life.

We have flashing lights now, to enhance our 'customer experience'.

Back then, we had ourselves, and we created our own identity.

I must admit, I'm getting more than a bit fed up with all the piped music and cheese. Tonight, I watched the goals against Aston Villa on the website, and they couldn't even show half of them in real time.

Leave us alone, City, we don't need to be managed.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, I probably am, but that film clip from years ago really brought home to me how much atmosphere has been lost in today's game.

Both good atmospheres but on both occasions we weren't expected to get a result.
Being the underdog is a factor in my opinion.

The Chelsea game this season was decent at times, they were perhaps fancied to get a result and then we had Zabba sent off- this seems to galvanise those fans who would otherwise not get involved.

the poster above has it spot on,when you go to games expecting to win you sit back and wait.

a friend of mine is a match going red,he has always said the atmosphere is shite,but over the last few months it has got better and better,they now don't expect to wipe the floor with every team that goes there.

fans get a little complacent,weve got a team full of great players,and quite possibly the best team weve seen ever,and we sit back and enjoy it,or wait for the show.
