sent an email with a document attached created in "microsoft works word"but they are not able to open this..thay have asked me to send it as a "doc file" or a "txt file" what are these please as im sure one of you clever peoples out there can help me ...cheers

convert it to rich text formate (rtf) and then send it... that way you will be able to open it on many different older and newer versions of word or works

you have it fixed?

Otherwise when you save it you have to change the format on the doc. before saving it
