It's pretty clear that Mancini sets the team up a lot more solidly, shall we say, than other managers. This has clearly improved our defence, we do look a lot more sturdy at the back, that is, we don't look like we're going to concede every time the opposition attack, like we did earlier in the season.
However, he must employ some attacking tactics even if they are cautious and don't involve committing too many men forward. Yet I have no idea what they are, today, even when we started with Tevez up front, with Bellamy and SWP supporting, our main form of attack seemed to be the long ball. When RSC came on this proved to be a lot more effective but before that I felt it was completely the wrong approach.
I know Sunderland played very well (doesn't everyone seem to against us?) and put us under constant pressure very quickly, but I feel better teams would have had more ideas and would have been able to control the game a bit better. Obviously these are things that come with being a really good team and we'll hopefully start to get better ......... quickly, if we want 4th.
