Let's get in for these guys... not only would they dramatically improve our defence (one of our weakest areas) but they would really cripple Liverpool's chances next season.

Given Liverpool's lack of financial muscle this window they would struggle to replace them and I'm sure that waiving an 80 or 90k / week paycheck at the players is likely to get us at least one of them.

Torres and Gerrard may be the star names but if we managed to rob the dippers of their defence the whole team would come down like a pack of cards.

We don't need him either. It would mean 1 of Ireland, De Jong or Barry or himself on the bench. They wouldnt be too happy.
