Next week is 'Schoolie's' week.

Lots of the year 12 students who leave school next week (summer here remember) in Queensland will go to Surfers Paradise (our Ibiza) for a week of partying etc, my youngest son is going.

Its well organised (you need an ID badge), but as a parent its something else to fret about

Has this caught on in the UK yet?

Another Aussie custom which wifey takes advantage of in January is long service leave, if you work for an employer for 10 years, you get 3 months paid leave on top of your annual leave (just once , not every year) ..............not bad eh?

Maybe Labour should put that on their ticket, might win a few million votes lol

The sabatical, as it is known, could catch on.

I suppose in England we get a worse deal than your lot, but it is much better than the U S of States in America so I am not complaining.

exporting your z listed celebrities to appear on our tv screens..danni minge and co.why cant you just send them to tasmania or somewhere..anywhere but here...ps rolf is not included nor the bird off the wibbly wobbly way..

Going out in your crappy old commodore v8 and spinning the fuck out of the back wheels at 1am, or driving like you are a blind ignorant fuckwit, or never saying thanks when someone lets you cross the road or holds a door for you......golly gosh there are so many.

queue the endless news stories about out of hand drunk teenagers.

hope you arent going along as a 'toolie' are you nimrod mate?

Ha Ha

My older boy is hoping to be a toolie this year., for me its way too late

note..
a toolie is an older person who go'es to schoolies to pick up the (school leaving) chicks

They can all go to Lytham next week if they want. No worries. They'll be too friggin cold and wet to get up to any mischief.

The UK doesnt have beaches. We just have shorelines of broken glass and radioactive water that gives you webbed feet if you step in it for more than 20 seconds.

So no.

My last day at school ended with me and half of my class sat in the local park drinking bottles of buckfast and cider.
